Bayesian Analysis, MCMC and WinBUGS

Bayesian Analysis, MCMC and WinBUGS

15th - 16th May 2013:: Cambridge

Software download

If you will be bringing a laptop to the course, it would save time if you could download and install the following items. You are not, however, obliged to do this as the intention is to do the practicals in small groups on shared laptops.

Please do not worry if there are any problems with the software, as there will be an opportunity for installation during the course.

WinBUGS

This program is for Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis. It can be downloaded from the WinBUGS website http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/bugs/winbugs/contents.shtml, which contains instructions for installation. Please remember to obtain (free of charge) the key for unrestricted use of the software via http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/bugs/winbugs/contents.shtml .

WinBUGS upgrade patch

During the course you will be using the latest version (1.4.3) of WinBUGS. An upgrade patch is available via the WinBUGS website http://www.mrc-bsu.cam.ac.uk/bugs/winbugs/contents.shtml.

Course files

Please click here to download a zip-archive containing all of the files required for the practical sessions. You should unzip the archive to "C:\", otherwise the WinBUGS scripts will not run correctly -- a new directory called "C:\data" will be created automatically.
