This guide was designed and written by Alastair Stevens
at the MRC Biostatistics Unit in Cambridge, UK. The original version
appeared during the summer of 1996, but it has been been through many
evolutions since then. This latest version attempts to provide sufficient
warning about the current standards mess revolving around HTML, and
we sincerely hope you'll find it useful, even if it doesn't describe the
latest standards itself!
This guide was created entirely by hand, using only simple text
editors. It has been tested using Mozilla and IE, and it also works
in Lynx, though with the obvious limitations. Use the mail link at the
bottom to send us your feedback or problem reports.
Use the icon above to jump straight to the download page at
Mozilla. From there, you can get hold of the latest versions of their
browser, which is available for free download. Microsoft Internet
Explorer is no longer in development, so you are strongly recommended
to use Mozilla, the best cross-platform, standards-compliant browser
available.
