An international conference in Cambridge played host to more than 200 delegates and marked the centenary of the Medical Research Council (MRC) Biostatistics Unit.

The facility – now located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus – was founded in 1914 as one of the MRC’s four foundation units and focuses on pioneering work involving medical statistics, clinical trials and public health
