We are delighted to announce that after joining the BSU as an MRC Investigator and Director of Research in April 2020, and in recognition of his scientific distinction, Thomas Jaki has been promoted to the status of Established Professor at the University of Cambridge.
Thomas joined the Unit last year. His work has focused on developing and evaluating novel statistical methods for clinical and pre-clinical studies. These methods are adapted for specific applications to ensure they can be used in the pharmaceutical industry and also in public sector research institutions. More recently, Thomas has been working closely with clinical experts, to utilise efficient adaptive trial designs to evaluate possible treatment options for COVID-19.
Sylvia Richardson, Director of the Unit said:
“I’m thrilled by this news and wish Thomas the warmest of congratulations!”
