We are delighted to announce that Sach Mukherjee will be joining the Unit as a Programme Leader and Director of Research in Machine Learning for Biomedicine on a part-time basis.
Sach is a senior investigator at the DZNE, one of Germany’s major biomedical institutions. His interests centre on high-dimensional statistics and machine learning, including causal learning and methods for heterogeneous data. He is looking forward to starting his new role at the BSU: “The BSU is one of Europe’s leading centres in the field with a remarkable depth and breadth of expertise. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the Unit’s efforts at this exciting time for biomedical data science.”
BSU Director Sylvia Richardson says: “Sach Mukherjee is an outstanding researcher and we are delighted to have him on board. He is an ideal figure to contribute leadership to efforts in data science, and his appointment further strengthens our profile at the intersection of biostatistics and machine learning.”
