I recently joined the MRC Biostatistics Unit in a joint position with the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre after completing my PhD at the University of Warwick. My PhD thesis focussed on unbiased estimation in confirmatory clinical trials with time-to-event data for the setting of seamless phase II/III clinical trials with treatment selection, and two-stage survival trials with subpopulation selection. My PhD project was supervised by Dr Peter Kimani and Professor Nigel Stallard from Warwick Medical School and Dr Ekkehard Glimm from Novartis Pharma as part of an MRC Industrial CASE award.
Prior to this, I worked as a Biostatistician for two years on early phase haemato-oncology trials at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit, University of Birmingham. One aspect of my work at the CRCTU included implementation of Bayesian adaptive designs for dose-finding studies. My current research at the MRC BSU, under the supervision of Dr Adrian Mander and in collaboration with Professor Duncan Jodrell, involves dual-agent dose-escalation methodology for early phase oncology trials.
