Katie Saunders is a statistician working half time in the BSU and half time in Primary Care Unit. She trained in medicine at King's College London, and holds a PhD in statistical genetics / genetic epidemiology from the University of Leeds.
She mainly works in health services research using routine healthcare data and within the BSU she works in Jessica Barrett's team, coding multimorbidity in CPRD AURUM, a primary care research database. She also has research interests in survey methods, LGBTQ+ health research, and the use of routine healthcare data in evaluation. In the half-time part of her post in the PCU she is currently working as part of the BRACE Rapid Evaluation Centre, where her research also has a focus on multimorbidity.
