Due to the rapidly developing COVID-19 outbreak, we are unfortunately postponing recruitment for our Vacation Internship programme. If you have applied, we will contact you soon with further information.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our Vacation Internship programme. Under this programme, successful applicants will be employed by the Unit to undertake work which contributes to the Unit’s established research portfolio.
These internships might ideally suit those close to completing their Masters studies, however, we are looking for the best applicants, regardless of background or career stage. Thus, applications from undergraduate students as well as those close to the completion of their PhD are also welcome.
The Unit has a number of research themes and would welcome applications from candidates with an interest in working in these areas. The Unit’s current research is categorised within 4 broad themes:
- Design and Analysis of Randomised Trials (DART)
- Precision Medicine and Inference for Complex Outcomes (PREM)
- Statistical Omics (SOMX)
- Statistical Methods using Data Resources to Improve Population Health (SURPH)
Successful candidates will be appointed to a fixed term position for anything from 6 weeks up to 6 months depending on availability and project at Grade 5 (£26,715 – £30,942).
The Unit is actively seeking to increase diversity among its staff, including promoting an equitable representation of men and women. The Unit therefore especially encourages applications from women, from minority ethnic groups and from those with non-standard career paths. Appointment will be made on merit.
