Conor Egan, was selected as a finalist at the STEM for BRITAIN annual scientific poster competition, showcasing the brilliant research and talent of early-career scientists.
This prestigious event, held at the UK Parliament, provides a unique platform for researchers to present their work directly to Members of Parliament, highlighting the importance of science in shaping policy and society.
Conor Egan, who is a PhD student in the Population Health theme, had the privilege of participating in STEM for BRITAIN 2025 and was selected as a finalist, where he presented a poster about his research on modelling Hepatitis C virus infection and treatment impact through serological surveillance data. Conor's work focuses on implementing models to capture the underlying disease dynamics of Hepatitis C, providing evidence of progress towards its elimination as defined by the World Health Organisation. Conor had the opportunity to engage with MPs, including his local representative, Daniel Zeichner, and workplace representative, Pippa Heylings.
