MRC Biostatistics Unit

Summary

I am a Research Assistant working with Dr. Stephen Burgess in the Causal Mechanisms team at the MRC Biostatistics Unit. My research focuses on the evaluation and application of stratified Mendelian Randomization approaches to uncover population stratum-specific causal mechanisms of disease and drug response. This work aims to contribute to the design and implementation of more effective, targeted therapies and disease prevention strategies.

I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Genomic Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2024, after which I joined Wellcome Sanger Institute to research on human genomics.
